Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers seeks a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide direct support in inpatient programs at Laurel Run, PA. The role focuses on patient safety, engagement, and clinical staff support in a structured, therapeutic environment.

As a key team member, you will observe patients, document changes, and assist with admissions, group activities, and daily routines while upholding care standards and crisis protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Minimum age 21 with valid driver’s license when driving is assigned.
• Experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings preferred.
• Detoxification/residential care experience preferred.
• Behavioral health certification or related education preferred.
• Ability to remain professional, empathetic and composed in crisis situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Note observations and report concerns to clinical staff.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, patient movement and daily routines.
• Support patient engagement in treatment programming and activities.
• Collaborate with clinical, nursing and operations staff to maintain a safe environment.
• Assist with transport when required and ensure safety compliance.
