Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to provide direct support in inpatient behavioral health, mental health, and addiction treatment programs. The role focuses on patient safety, engagement, and daily operational support while fostering a structured recovery‑oriented environment.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, this is a full‑time, on‑site position in Laurel Run, PA, with a 40‑hour week and Wednesday–Sunday or Sunday–Thursday schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills.
• Experience in behavioral health or related settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous patient supervision and safety checks.
• Observe and report patient status to clinical staff.
• Respond to crisis situations using de‑escalation techniques and follow protocols.
• Maintain a respectful, therapeutic environment and adherence to house rules.
• Coordinate with clinical, nursing and operations staff to support care.
