Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to support patients during recovery, supervise safety, and assist with daily program activities. The role involves direct patient interaction, waiving testing duties, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team across our nationwide network.

The position offers part‑time hours on a 7pm–7:30am shift, with responsibilities that emphasize safety, empathy, and timely communication with clinical staff.

Qualifications

• Safe driving record with a clean DMV report for the last 3 years.
• Must be at least 23 years of age to comply with motor vehicle insurance requirements.
• Experience in substance use disorder or mental health treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and facility grounds, conduct safety checks, and document incidents.
• Measure and report vital signs, conduct UDS and pregnancy tests, and comply with company policies.
• Maintain respectful and professional interactions with patients, offering emotional support and referring concerns to therapy staff.
• Share relevant patient information with the Team Leader and collaborate with the team to ensure high‑quality care.
• Assist in patient transport, group coordination, and discharge preparations, while ensuring facility safety.
