Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Registered Nurse for the inpatient behavioral health unit. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, assess patients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based care.

The role requires MA nursing licensure, a Diploma/ ASN/ BSN (BSN preferred), BLS certification, and experience in behavioral health. Strong communication and computer skills are essential for patient records and EHR use.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice professional nursing in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (BSN preferred; BSN within 4 years).
• 1+ year inpatient Behavioral Health RN experience preferred.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in the inpatient behavioral health setting, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
