Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight® company, is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to design dynamic learning for elementary students with IEPs in an alternative education setting.

You will lead instruction, develop individualized plans, and collaborate with staff to support diverse learners while ensuring PBIS concepts and state standards are integrated throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field.
• Licensed or in the process of obtaining IL professional educator (PEL) credential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Implement PBIS and manage classroom environment.
• Track student progress and document outcomes.
• Develop and modify lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Collaborate with co‑teachers and families to support student growth.
