Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Valid DC teaching license; Math endorsement preferred.
• Experience teaching middle school math (7th grade).

Responsibilities

• Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and assessments.
• Develop lesson plans using development data and professional development.
• Use varied instructional materials to enrich learning.
• Meet needs of all students, including those with disabilities and ELL.
• Administer developmental assessments and track progress.
• Observe students and inform planning with notes and portfolios.
• Monitor progress through formal and informal evaluations.
• Engage families to support student progress.
• Promote play and child-initiated explorations in class.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, families, and community.
• Incorporate instructional technology into practice.
