Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Designer in Tempe to develop documents, drawings, and diagrams that meet client goals and project requirements.

You will formulate preliminary space plans, select finishes, and coordinate with allied design professionals while ensuring construction documents are signed off per jurisdiction. The role emphasizes client service, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a accredited institution (NCIDQ a plus)
• Minimum of 1+ years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT and Architectural Desktop
• Ability to read and review construction documents; provide technical sign-off/approval
• Understanding of technical aspects of design/construction such as low voltage, materials, budgets, constructability, electrical and HVAC systems
• Versed in the five phases of an interior/architectural project
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills
• Effective interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
• Strong Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously

Responsibilities

• Formulate preliminary space plans and sketches integrating client needs
• Confirm space plans meet safety, functionality, and welfare requirements
• Compile colors, materials, finishes to convey concept meeting environmental and maintenance needs
• Compile furniture/equipment/millwork specs and provide contract docs for pricing and installation
• Coordinate with allied design professionals
• Ensure construction documents for non-structural/non-seismic work are signed and sealed as required
• Assist with administration of contract documents, bids, and negotiations
• Provide reporting on project progress and completion
