Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Project Designer in Madison, WI to develop documents, drawings, and diagrams aligned with client goals. You will formulate space plans, select finishes, and prepare contract docs for pricing and installation.

Responsibilities include coordinating with design professionals, validating construct documents, and supporting contracts and bids. The role emphasizes client service, communication, and multi-project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a FIDER-accredited institution (NCIDQ a plus).
• Minimum of 1+ years of relevant work experience or similar combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or REVIT and Architectural Desktop.
• Ability to read and review construction documents; provide technical sign-off/approval.
• Understanding of technical aspects of design/construction (low voltage, materials, budgets, constructs).
• Versed in the five phases of an interior/architectural project.
• Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
• Effective interpersonal and problem solving ability.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Formulate preliminary space plans and sketches that integrate the client’s needs.
• Confirm preliminary space plans and design concepts meet safety and welfare requirements.
• Compile materials selections to convey concept and meet requirements.
• Coordinate furniture layout drawings and prepare contract documentation for pricing and installation.
• Coordinate with allied design professionals as needed.
• Ensure construction documents are signed and sealed per jurisdiction requirements.
• Assist with administration of contracts, bids and negotiations.
• Provide reporting on project progress and completion.
