Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking an Innovation Attorney to support client-specific AI and legal technology solutions within the AI & Legal Innovation team. You will partner with lawyers, Technology Client Services, and other teams to identify opportunities and deliver practical AI-enabled workflows for sophisticated clients.

Location flexibility includes New York, Washington D.C., or Los Angeles with hybrid options.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
J.D. or equivalent required.
Minimum of five years of relevant legal environment experience.

Responsibilities

Support scoping, design, and delivery of client-specific AI engagements and workshops.
Identify opportunities to apply AI and legal technology to legal workflows and service delivery.
Advise partners and clients on practical AI applications, capabilities, limitations, and human oversight.
Move client opportunities from discovery through solution design, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
Coordinate with AI, legal innovation and technology teams to align client needs with capabilities.
Ensure client AI work meets quality, confidentiality, information security, and compliance requirements.
Share insights to inform reusable solutions and AI agenda.
Collaborate with Business Development to prepare technology content for panels, pitches, and RFPs.
