Qualifications

• Four years of clerical work experience.
• Two years of general experience must have been in maintenance of a complex clerical processing service with statewide impact.
• College training may substitute for the General Experience (15 semester hours = 1/2 year; max 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidential inmate/offender identification records and related files.
• Interacts with CT court staff and law enforcement on sentences.
• Calculates sentences for parole and discharge eligibility.
• Oversees notices of release, furloughs, and transfers of inmates/offenders.
• Compiles criminal records and communicates with FBI and state police.
• Assigns and reviews unit work for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Assists in compiling current statistics on inmates/offenders and reports.
• Performs related duties as required.
