Job summary

Eden Capital Careers is recruiting on behalf of a C5ISR technology client in the United States for an Inkjet Application Engineer. This hands-on role focuses on bringing an advanced printing platform into production for flexible electronics, optimizing inkjet delivery, and solving hardware/software challenges for RF/microwave components.

The candidate will test inks and printheads, operate industrial inkjet systems, and collaborate with Sales to define customer requirements and prototypes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years in inkjet application development or additive manufacturing.
• At least 2 years focused on electronic, electrical, or RF/microwave components.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial inkjet systems, including piezoelectric and thermal printhead tech, waveform tuning, and fluid rheology.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial printers and refining print files with standard tools.
• Familiarity with motion control systems, digital imaging tools, and metrology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for quality, cycle time, compatibility, and customer requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision electronics.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune printing waveforms for flexible/RF electronics.
• Partner with sales to define customer requirements and cost estimates, and produce prototypes.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on electronics substrates.
• Support DoD and government contracts with technical reports and demonstrations.
• Troubleshoot fluidic, hardware, and software issues for field teams and subcontractors.
• Identify risks and implement solutions for defect-free components.
• Visit customer sites, develop work plans, and adapt capabilities to needs.
• Monitor progress against objectives, timelines, and work authorizations.
• Train customer engineers and mentor junior staff.
• Document design work and prepare technical guides and SOPs.
