Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an Inkjet Application Engineer for a C5ISR technology client. The role focuses on bringing a custom printing platform from R&D into production for flexible electronics, optimizing inkjet delivery systems and debugging hardware/software challenges.

The successful candidate will work on defense and commercial applications, mentor junior engineers, produce prototypes, and contribute to technical reports and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of inkjet application development or additive manufacturing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial inkjet systems, including piezoelectric and thermal printhead technology.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial printers and refining print files.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication of technical information.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for quality and requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision electronics.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune print waveforms for RF/microwave electronics.
• Define customer requirements and prepare prototypes and cost estimates.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on specialized electronics substrates.
• Prepare technical reports, guides, and SOPs.
• Train customer engineering teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Monitor progress against project objectives and timelines.
• Collaborate with R&D and suppliers to reduce production time and cost.
