Job summary

Inkjet Application Engineer role supporting a C5ISR technology company, bringing an established custom printing platform from R&D into production for flexible electronics. You will optimize inkjet systems, resolve hardware/software challenges, and advance milestones for electronic and RF components used in defense and commercial markets.

You will test inks and printheads, operate inkjet printers, and collaborate with sales to define customer requirements, develop prototypes, and prepare cost

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field is required.
• A master’s degree or certifications in additive manufacturing or printing technologies are preferred.
• 7+ years of inkjet/applications experience is desired, with focus on RF/microwave components.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for print quality, cycle time, compatibility, and customer requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers for high-precision electronics.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune printing waveforms for flexible and RF/microwave electronics.
• Partner with sales to define customer requirements and produce prototypes and cost estimates.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on specialized electronics substrates.
• Support DoD and government research contracts with technical discussions and demonstrations.
