The role moves an R&D printing platform into production for flexible electronics, focusing on optimizing inkjet and micro-pen delivery systems for high-precision electronic components used in defense and commercial markets.

The candidate will test inks and substrates, operate industrial printers, tune waveforms, collaborate with sales, and support DoD contracts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in inkjet application development or additive manufacturing.
• 2+ years in electronic, electrical, or RF/microwave components.
• Advanced knowledge of inkjet systems: piezoelectric and thermal printheads.
• Troubleshoot printers; refine print files with software tools.
• Familiar with motion control, imaging, and metrology equipment.
• Independent worker, meets deadlines, clear communicator.
• Commitment to quality, confidentiality, ethics, customer service.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for quality and requirements.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers.
• Tune waveforms for flexible and RF/microwave electronics.
• Define customer requirements with sales and prepare cost estimates.
• Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations on specialized electronics substrates.
• Support DoD and government contracts with technical demos.
• Troubleshoot field issues; assist end users and subcontractors.
• Train customer engineers and mentor junior engineers.
• Document designs and prepare reports and SOPs.
• Use field data to guide internal R&D and suppliers.
