Job summary

Hire Consulting Services is recruiting an Inkjet Application Engineer for a client in the C5ISR sector. The role focuses on moving an advanced inkjet platform to production for flexible electronics, optimizing inkjet and micro-pen delivery systems, and solving hardware/software challenges for defense and commercial applications.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in inkjet app development or additive manufacturing.
• 2+ years on electronic, electrical, or RF/microwave components.
• Advanced knowledge of inkjet systems and printhead tech.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software and refine print files.
• Experience with DoD/government contracting is a plus.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Test inks, printheads, and substrates for quality and specs.
• Operate and optimize industrial inkjet printers and micro-pen dispensers.
• Evaluate fluid-structure interactions and tune waveforms.
• Collaborate with sales to define requirements and produce prototypes.
• Conduct POC evaluations on electronics substrates.
• Help prepare technical materials for DoD/government contracts.
• Troubleshoot fluidic, hardware, and software issues for field teams.
• Identify risks and implement defect-free solutions.
• Visit customers, plan work, adapt capabilities to needs.
• Monitor progress against objectives and approvals.
• Train customer engineers and mentor juniors.
• Document designs and prepare reports/SOPs.
• Use field data to guide R&D and suppliers in reducing time and cost.
