Job summary

Deckorators, a UFP Industries brand, seeks a hands-on Injection Molding Supervisor for the second shift to lead people, equipment, and production in our injection molding department. You will balance production demands with strong people leadership and drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement on PVC molding operations.

You will mentor staff, manage schedules, coordinate with maintenance, and ensure timely documentation and performance reporting.

Qualifications

• Direct experience with plastic injection molding required.
• PVC injection molding experience strongly preferred.
• 2–4 years manufacturing experience.
• 1–3 years leading or supervising employees.
• Technical education or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
• Knowledge of safety practices and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to coach and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead second-shift injection molding operations and staff.
• Train and develop production employees.
• Schedule production and allocate machines/molds.
• Ensure safety, quality, cost, and output targets.
• Oversee setup and operation of molding machines.
• Ensure documentation and inspections are completed.
• Collaborate with maintenance on PMs and mold changes.
• Implement continuous improvement programs (5S, TPM).
• Prepare production reports and communicate status.
• Maintain inventory levels in department.
