Job summary

Amcor is seeking a maintenance technician in Fairfield, CA to ensure the safe, reliable operation of high-speed injection molding and One-Step equipment across 12-hour shift cycles.

You will diagnose, repair, and optimize machinery, robots, dryers, and material-handling systems while upholding GMP, safety policies, and maintenance procedures. Collaboration with operators and supervisors is essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; some post-secondary education preferred (technical or vocational).
• 3–5 years experience with high-speed injection molding equipment, preferably Husky PET systems.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing environments.
• Experience with robots, material conveying, dryers, colorant systems, grinders, mold maintenance, sensors, motors, and drives.
• Demonstrated maintenance & electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• SAP and basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Overtime or off-shift flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production interruptions on injection molding and related systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, and material-handling failures.
• Perform repairs/adjustments per procedures and manufacturer specs; expedite unresolved issues.
• Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, and component replacement.
• Provide technical support to production to maintain continuity and quality.
• Assist with mold changeovers, startups, and maintenance of support equipment.
• Document repairs, parts usage, and maintenance records; ensure safety and compliance.
