Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to inspect and repair molding machines and perform preventive maintenance under the direction of the Molding Machine Maintenance Manager or Lead. Responsibilities include following Amcor Life Saving Rules and maintaining equipment in a safe, efficient state to support production.

The role requires mechanical aptitude, a proactive approach to learning, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while collaborating with the maintenance team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Trade School, Technical, or Mechanical certificate a plus.
• Mechanically inclined with hands-on ability.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, electrical and mechanical systems on molding machines.
• Perform preventive maintenance procedures as specified.
• Complete work assigned by Manager or Lead person.
• Communicate activities with Manager and other department members.
• Maintain neat and orderly appearance of plant and molding machines.
• Assist in other departments as requested by Manager or Lead person.
• Seek training to stay current with job requirements.
• Assume control of machine when a situation arises with potential for injury or rapid deterioration.
