Job summary

Rehrig Pacific Company is seeking an experienced Mold Maintenance Technician to safely perform preventive maintenance, tooling changeovers, and mold repairs. You will ensure high uptime and production efficiency while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, experience with hot runner systems, and the ability to read blueprints and operate CNC machinery. Team collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in injection molding/tool and die or equivalent.
• Proficient in repairs of hot runner systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proficient in use of lathe, mill, CNC, cranes and rigging.
• Forklift certified and overhead crane experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly and monthly Preventive Maintenance to mold tooling.
• Perform in-press mold Preventative Maintenance per schedule.
• Prepare molds and readjust tooling as needed.
• Repair injection molds and hot runner systems for maximum uptime.
• Troubleshoot issues and determine root cause with cross-department collaboration.
• Maintain molding surfaces for proper part release.
• Read blueprints and machine components as needed.
• Set up CNC mills, mills and lathes to fabricate components.
• Disassemble molds and hot runners for maintenance.
• Mentor and teach new skills to team members.
• Follow safety and quality standards; complete documentation.
