Job summary

Rehrig Pacific Company seeks a Tooling Manager to lead tooling operations in a plastic injection molding facility, ensuring safe, reliable mold maintenance, repair, and performance. You will supervise mold technicians, drive PM/PPM programs, and guide continuous improvement while managing inventory and supplier relations to meet production goals.

The role emphasizes safety, tooling reliability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and improve molding performance.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• 3+ years of direct management experience preferred.
• 5+ years of injection molding experience preferred.
• Strong Computer/Microsoft Office skills; be able to efficiently work with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and working knowledge of CMMS systems, preferably JD Edwards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mold technicians and drive preventative/predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage tooling repair and maintenance activities for the mold inventory.
• Coordinate PM efforts with other departments to ensure mold quality and production readiness.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs and inventory planning.
• Provide technical support to troubleshoot and minimize downtime; interpret specs and blueprints.
