Job summary

SnapLock Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Injection Mold Setup Technician in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in changing and setting up injection molds.

The role includes mold changes, setup, alignment, troubleshooting, and maintaining records to support production efficiency. Shifts available: 2nd shift with a $1.00 shift differential. Bonus points for technical certification or an associate degree and knowledge of TPS principles.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in injection mold changing.
Proficiency in mold setup, changeover, and adjustment procedures.
Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of TPS principles (5S, PDCA, SMED, Kaizen) and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Perform mold changes, setups, and adjustments on injection molding machines.
Ensure molds are properly installed and aligned for optimal performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold changes and setups.
Maintain accurate records of mold changes and machine settings.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Collaborate with production and engineering to address mold-related issues.
Provide training and support to junior technicians and operators as needed.
Help develop and write procedures and standardized work instructions.
