Job summary

SnapLock Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Injection Mold Setup Technician in Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in changing and setting up injection molds.

The role includes mold changes, setup, alignment, troubleshooting, and maintaining records to support production efficiency. Shifts available: 2nd shift with a $1.00 shift differential. Bonus points for technical certification or an associate degree and knowledge of TPS principles.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in injection mold changing.
• Proficiency in mold setup, changeover, and adjustment procedures.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow directions and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of TPS principles (5S, PDCA, SMED, Kaizen) and continuous improvement.

Your Day to Day:

• Perform mold changes, setups, and adjustments on injection molding machines.
• Ensure molds are properly installed and aligned for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold changes and setups.
• Maintain accurate records of mold changes and machine settings.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address mold-related issues and improve processes.
• Provide training and support to junior technicians and operators as needed.
• Help develop and write procedures and standardized work instructions.
