Job summary

Cretex Medical Component and Device Technologies is hiring a Set-Up Technician for 2nd shift in Minnesota. You will set up injection molds, prepare auxiliary equipment, and perform first piece inspections to ensure continuous production within prescribed cycles.

The role requires at least 3 years of mold setup experience, knowledge of resins, and strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality and safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform set-up for new molds and highly complex molds.
• Knowledge of plastic resins, mold setup and injection molding press functions.
• Ability to create and route reports and communications.
• Ability to read, comprehend, follow and document work instructions.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience and high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down of injection molds and required auxiliary equipment.
• Conduct first piece inspection and ensure equipment runs per work instructions.
• Monitor presses, alarms and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
• Maintain part quality via audits and documentation of defects.
• Develop setup sheets for tooling changes and communicate status to Engineering.
• Enter production data into ERP and ensure logs are accurate and timely.
• Maintain 5S in the work area and comply with safety policies.
• Support Quality System, ISO and medical device requirements.
