Job summary

Mauston Tool Corporation is seeking a Plastic Injection Mold Engineer to lead tooling projects from concept to production start and to drive improvements in tooling capability, efficiency, and cost. The engineer will manage multiple projects, coordinate with mold shop management and customers, and stay current with new tooling technologies.

The role requires a strong understanding of injection mold design, manufacturing processes, and proficiency in SolidWorks and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Plastics preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a directly related field.
• Solid background in injection molding processes and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Attend and contribute to staff and facility meetings
• Train and guide fellow employees as needed
• Quote and schedule jobs while coordinating between mold shop management and customers
• Conduct job meetings for assigned projects
• Communicate regularly with customers
• Assist in mold design and electrode design as required
• Communicate with moldmakers to ensure projects remain on schedule
