Job summary

Mauston Tool Corporation is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join our growing team in the plastic injection mold building industry. This hands-on role focuses on precision tooling, mold builds, repairs, and engineering changes to deliver high-quality tooling.

You will work with CNC equipment, read blueprints, and collaborate with engineers and moldmakers to keep projects moving forward while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Toolmaker, Moldmaker, Machinist, or similar manufacturing position preferred.
• Experience with plastic injection molds strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of machining, tooling, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, repair, and modify plastic injection molds.
• Perform precision machining and fitting of mold components.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues and make necessary repairs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Work with CNC equipment and other precision manufacturing tools.
• Inspect completed work to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Collaborate with engineers, moldmakers, and team members to keep projects moving forward.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
