Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse to join an interdisciplinary care team. The RN provides patient-centered care across assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, with a focus on infusion care and oncology protocols.

The position is full-time and onsite at South Lake Union, with a Monday to Friday schedule. Licensure, BLS, and chemotherapy provider certification are required, and oncology training or experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license or multi-state license and WA residence upgrade within 60 days.
• Oncology nursing experience or training provided if not previously in oncology.
• Active BLS card renewed every two years.
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs and plan care.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, side effects, and symptom management.
• Coordinate with inter-disciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer infusion therapies and monitor responses and adverse effects.
• Incorporate research and evidence into clinical practice.
