Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Kirkland, WA, seeks an Infusion Nurse for 0.7FTE (28 hours/week) at the Evergreen Clinic. The role focuses on patient-centered infusion care, coordination with an interdisciplinary team, and applying evidence-based practice.

The RN must hold WA RN (or MSL) license, with BLS and Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months. Oncology experience preferred; training is provided. Relocation and comprehensive benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• RN license in WA or MSL with residency updated within 60 days of hire
• BLS certification current and renewed every 2 years
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card required within 3 months of hire
• Oncology nursing experience preferred; training provided as needed
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred and beneficial

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs
• Develop and adjust plan of care based on disease and treatment response
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment and side effects
• Coordinate with inter-disciplinary team for continuity of care
• Administer IV hydration, chemotherapy/biotherapy, and blood products
• Perform venous access and blood draws
• Provide safe handling of hazardous drugs and proper disposal of materials
• Educate patients and families; ensure clinic contact information and follow-up
• Communicate symptoms to providers and escalate as needed
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement initiatives
