Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Registered Nurse in an infusion role. This 0.9 FTE position (36 hours/week) involves nursing assessment, care planning, and coordinating with an interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered infusion care.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, current WA RN license (or MSL) with plans to upgrade, BLS, and ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months. Oncology experience is preferred but training is provided.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN license (or MSL) with upgrade plan.
• Oncology nursing experience or training provided.
• Current BLS certification (every two years).
• ONS Chemotherapy Provider Card within 3 months of hire.

Aufgaben

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Develop a care plan based on disease, symptoms and response to treatment.
• Educate patients and families on disease, treatment, side effects and symptom management.
• Coordinate with inter-disciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Administer IV hydration, electrolyte replacement, chemotherapy/biotherapy, and blood products.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous drugs and disposal procedures.
• Provide patient and family education and contact information.
• Communicate symptoms to providers and collaborate with the care team.
