Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 0.5 FTE weekend role at the South Lake Union location in Seattle. Shifts are Saturday and Sunday 7:45 am–6:15 pm, with onboarding time Monday–Friday for two weeks and up to six additional weeks of training.

Onsite infusion nursing responsibilities include patient assessment, plan of care, and coordination with the care team. The role requires a WA State RN license, BLS, and oncology experience or training; benefits include

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Washington State RN Multistate License (MSL) or ability to obtain WA MSL within 60 days of hire.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred; oncology experience may be provided with training.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
• Develop and implement care plans based on diagnosis and treatment response.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment, and symptom management.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for continuity of care.
• Administer nursing care including IV hydration and chemotherapy/biotherapy when applicable.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous drugs and prevention of exposure.
