Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking an Infusion Pharmacist Supervisor to provide leadership of pharmacy personnel and oversee daily operations to ensure safe, effective, and compliant patient care. You will collaborate with pharmacy leadership to develop policies, supervise staff, and lead quality improvement initiatives.

The role is full‑time, primarily Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends at our South Lake Union Campus, and offers a competitive salary with comprehensive

Qualifications

• Doctor of pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited School of Pharmacy
• 4 years of experience as a Pharmacist or 2 years as a Lead Pharmacist or in an equivalent supervisory capacity
• State of Washington Pharmacist License
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven project management skills and committee experience
• Proficiency in basic computer skills (EMR, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure related to work/time deadlines

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and workflow oversight to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel to ensure safe, effective, and efficient pharmacy services.
• Hire, train, coach, support, develop, discipline, and evaluate pharmacy personnel to promote engagement, accountability, high performance, and professional growth.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of departmental policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures to support safe and compliant pharmacy practice.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, organizational, regulatory, and accreditation requirements, ensuring ongoing operational readiness.
• Lead and support quality assurance, quality improvement, medication safety, and error prevention initiatives, including review and follow-up of safety events and implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, multidisciplinary teams, and organizational committees to support departmental objectives, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Communicate departmental goals, operational priorities, performance expectations, and key updates to staff while fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and service excellence.
