Job summary

LUX Infusion in Bartlett, TN is hiring a Patient Support Specialist to ensure seamless refill coordination, accurate prescription management, and proactive patient communication. This role supports clinicians and pharmacy partners while maintaining regulatory compliance and HIPAA standards.

You’ll collaborate with pharmacy operations daily to enable timely dispensing, shipping, and refill coordination, serving as a trusted contact for patients and providers and helping keep specialty therapies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; pharmacy technician registration or certification within 60 days of hire.
• Experience in customer service within healthcare settings and data entry/medical terminology.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and related technology platforms.
• Preferred: pharmacy technician certification; 1+ year in specialty pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prescription refills, outreach, and documentation for specialty or infusion therapy.
• Communicate professionally with patients and providers to gather information and renewals.
• Submit insurance re-authorizations and prior authorizations to prevent delays.
• Ask screening questions and escalate concerns to a pharmacist when appropriate for compliance.
• Maintain accurate patient records and demographic/insurance data in systems.
• Collaborate daily with pharmacy operations to support dispensing, shipping, and refill coordination.
• Serve as a trusted contact while adhering to state Board of Pharmacy regulations and HIPAA.
