Mercy South’s Oncology Infusion Center is seeking an Infusion RN to provide compassionate, expert care to oncology patients in an outpatient setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusions, while closely monitoring responses and adverse events.

The role supports patient education, safety, and coordination of care with oncologists, pharmacists, and other staff.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Previous oncology experience not required.

Aufgaben

• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, hydration therapy, and other infusion medications.
• Monitor patients for treatment responses and adverse reactions.
• Access and maintain peripheral IVs, ports, and central lines.
• Collaborate with oncologists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and support staff to coordinate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on medications, side effects, and ongoing care needs.
• Review laboratory results and communicate significant findings to the care team.
• Document assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic health record.
• Maintain oncology treatment safety standards and infection prevention practices.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout the treatment process.
