Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Infusion Center in a part-time outpatient setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care to oncology patients.

The role emphasizes patient education, safety, and compassionate care in a welcoming environment. Experience in oncology is welcome, with strong supervision and ongoing training provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license is required.
• CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion medications.
• Monitor patients for treatment responses and adverse reactions.
• Access and maintain peripheral IVs, ports, and central lines.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and care team to coordinate plans.
• Educate patients and families on medications, side effects, and care needs.
• Review laboratory results and communicate significant findings.
• Document assessments and treatments in the electronic health record.
• Maintain oncology treatment safety standards and infection prevention practices.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families throughout treatment.
