Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Oncology Infusion Center to deliver specialized care to cancer patients in an outpatient setting. You will work with a certified oncology nursing team, physicians, pharmacists, and support staff to administer infusion therapies and monitor responses throughout treatment.

The Infusion Center offers chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and supportive care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Previous experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and hydration therapy.
• Monitor for treatment responses and adverse reactions.
• Access and maintain peripheral IVs, ports, and central lines.
• Collaborate with oncology team to coordinate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on medications and symptom management.
• Document in the electronic health record.
• Maintain safety and infection prevention standards.
