Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide direct care to patients in an infusion setting in Lewiston, Maine. You will administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol and monitor treatment response.
The ideal candidate holds an active RN license, BLS and ACLS, with at least one year of Oncology experience. This 12-week assignment offers paid weekly payroll, flexible opportunities, and collaboration with award-winning hospital
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state.
- BLS (AHA) required on hire.
- ACLS (AHA) required on hire.
- Minimum of 1 year of RN Oncology experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
