Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is hiring an Oncology Registered Nurse in Lewiston, Maine. Shifts are days, and the assignment length is 12 weeks. Pay ranges up to $68 per hour equivalent per shift, with a weekly pay cadence.

You will administer chemotherapy and related therapies, perform patient assessments, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the oncology team while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required upon hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
