Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for an assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Day shifts available, 12-week contract, with infusion care responsibilities and chemotherapy administration per protocol.
You will provide direct patient care in an oncology setting, monitor treatment responses, educate patients and families, and uphold HIPAA and safety standards. Competitive weekly pay and dedicated career support are included.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain.
- ACLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain.
- Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
