Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for a day shift in Lewiston, Maine. This 12-week assignment involves direct patient care in an infusion setting and administering chemotherapy, biotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.

Required are a current RN license, BLS and ACLS, with at least one year of oncology experience. Expect HIPAA-compliant documentation and collaboration with the oncology care team.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care
