Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to join an infusion unit in Lewiston, Maine. The role involves administering chemotherapy and biologic therapies, performing patient assessments, and coordinating care with the oncology team.

The ideal candidate will have an RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of oncology nursing experience. A 12-week assignment with days shifts is offered, with paid weekly benefits and nationwide hospital partners.

Qualifications

Current and valid state RN license.
BLS (AHA) certification at hire and maintained.
ACLS (AHA) certification at hire and maintained.
Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience required.

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
