Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to join our partner facility’s oncology team in Lewiston, Maine. The role focuses on infusion therapy, chemotherapy administration, patient education, and coordinated care across the oncology unit.

Required RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and at least one year of oncology experience. Assignment length is 12 weeks with days shifts and competitive, location-specific compensation.

Qualifications

• Current and valid nursing license in the state.
• BLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification required at hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year of RN Oncology experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management.
• Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols.
• Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care.
