Job summary
Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse for an infusion-focused assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Shifts are Days, and pay ranges up to $64 per hour, with a 12-week assignment length.
This role presents a stable, hospital-based environment with supportive staffing. You will provide direct care to oncology patients, administer chemotherapy and IV therapies, perform patient assessments, educate families on treatment plans, and maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation while
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN license.
- BLS (AHA) certification on hire
- ACLS (AHA) certification on hire
- Minimum 1 year Oncology RN experience
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to oncology patients in an infusion setting
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV infusions per protocol
- Perform patient assessments and monitor treatment response and side effects
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and symptom management
- Ensure adherence to oncology safety standards and hazardous drug handling protocols
- Communicate clinical changes, labs, and diagnostic results to physicians
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Collaborate with oncology care team to coordinate treatment and supportive care
