Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking an Infusion Nurse II to coordinate and provide intermediate direct patient care in the home or infusion suite under physician plans. The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The position requires an active RN license, 1+ year nursing experience, CPR certification, and driving for business travel. Training and mentorship responsibilities may be included, with emphasis on compliance and HIPAA

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Required licensure to operate a motor vehicle with access to a vehicle for business travel.
• Basic knowledge of computer operating systems and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, develops, and implements intermediate nursing plan of care treatments, evaluating patient progress towards goals.
• Organizes and participates in direct patient care, performs treatments, administers medications, educates patients and families.
• Modifies plan of treatment in response to changing patient status or physician orders.
• Assesses patient needs and physical status at each skilled visit through health data access and patient interview.
• Provides training and mentorship to Infusion Nurse I’s as needed to ensure patient safety and compliance.
• Communicates with the clinical team, providers, patients, and families to facilitate continuity of care.
• Completes clinical documentation in real-time during visits and submits for billing optimization.
