Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines
• Assists the physician with procedures and surgeries as directed
• Administers medications per orders, initiates IV therapy within scope
• Provides patient education and referrals as needed
• Document patient conditions and communicate with the healthcare team
• Demonstrates competency in advanced clinical tasks under supervision
• Maintains exam rooms and equipment, including stocking and cleaning
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives
• Cares for patients across the life span according to department policies
