Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time shift. The role includes preparing patients, performing basic lab procedures, assisting with procedures, administering medications, and coordinating care with the health team.

Qualifications include completion of a Practical Nursing program, no experience required, and BLS certification within 45 days. Strong communication and computer skills, and EMR experience are essential.

Qualifications

Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organization, prioritization and problem solving skills.
Proficient computer skills including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows OS, and use of electronic mail with exposure to electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare and room patients for exams, document vital signs and health information.
Perform laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries.
Administer medications per orders, including IV therapy within scope.
Provide patient education and coordinate referrals as needed.
