Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days, unless exempt by department.
• Completion of an accredited or approved Practical Nursing program.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong communication, organization and computer skills with EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, document vital signs and health information.
• Perform laboratory procedures with aseptic technique and infection control.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries.
• Administer medications, immunizations and IV therapy under physician orders.
• Provide patient education and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment; ensure patient safety and proper positioning.
• Communicate with the health care team and document patient status.
• Meet age-specific care needs per department policies.
