Job summary

Local Infusion in Thomaston, ME is hiring an Insurance & Intake Coordinator, an “Infusion Guide,” to elevate infusion therapy care. The role focuses on detailed referral coordination, insurance authorizations, and exceptional customer service for patients and clinicians.

This full-time, onsite position runs M-F, 8:30am–4:30pm. Prior chart review and pre-authorization experience are preferred, with a supportive team and clear growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Health care experience required.
• Prior authorization experience with insurance.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience using EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of infusion referral processes, including authorizations and financial counseling.
• Coordinate with referring providers to obtain paperwork for treatment.
• Communicate referral status to patients in a customer-centric way.
• Maintain communication with referring/prescribing providers.
• Assist in inventory and office supplies.
• Follow a structured 6-week training plan.
