Job summary
Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an “Infusion Guide”—to join our onsite center in Harbison, SC, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. You will coordinate referrals, obtain authorizations, and provide financial counseling to patients, with a focus on exceptional care and streamlined workflows.
We value healthcare experience with infusion, insurance pre-authorizations, and strong EHR skills.
Qualifications
- Prior experience reading medical charts and handling insurance pre-authorizations.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Health care experience with infusion setting preferred.
- Ability to quickly learn new apps.
- Strong customer and physician service orientation.
Responsibilities
- Handle all aspects of infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
- Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
- Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
- Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
- Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
- Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
