Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator (Infusion Guide) to join our onsite team at the Harbison center in SC. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a starting rate of $25 per hour and a quarterly bonus based on metrics, plus full benefits.

You will manage infusion referrals, obtain authorizations, conduct financial counseling and benefit investigations, and coordinate with providers while ensuring excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience required, infusion experience preferred.
• Insurance prior authorization experience.
• Familiar with EHR systems and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation and communicate patient status
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
