Job summary

Local Infusion is seeking an Insurance & Intake Coordinator—an “Infusion Guide”—to elevate patient care in infusion therapy. The role focuses on referral management, insurance authorizations, and outstanding customer service within our Springfield, VA center.

This full-time on-site position offers a 9:00am–5:30pm weekday schedule, with a starting wage of $25/hr plus quarterly metrics-based bonuses and full benefits. Training and growth opportunities are provided as we innovate care delivery.

Qualifications

• Health Care Experience Required
• Prior Experience in Infusion is Preferred
• Insurance Prior Authorization Experience
• Medical Terminology Experience
• Overall Medical Insurance Experience
• Ability to quickly grasp new apps
• Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of the infusion referral process; obtaining authorizations, financial counseling, benefit investigation
• Liaison with referring providers to obtain documentation necessary for treatment, and communicate status of their patients
• Communicate referral process and status to patients in a customer-centric way
• Openly communicate with referring/prescribing providers
• Assist in maintaining medical inventory and office supplies
• Dedicated 6 week training plan to help you succeed in your role
