Qualifications

• Experience in insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Prior authorization experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming calls or post services claims work.
• Input pre-authorization insurance and demographics into scheduling systems; verify benefits.
• Determine contract/benefit eligibility; obtain authorizations for inpatient/outpatient.
• Identify and data-enter referral requests per plan certificate.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, providers and internal departments.
• Conduct clinical screening process.
• Check benefits for facility-based treatment.
• Maintain positive customer relations and coordinate with internal teams.
